Cleaning and maintaining washroom cubicles

Short answer

Clean compact laminate and HPL cubicles daily with warm water and a neutral detergent, rinse and dry. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents on decorative faces. Check locks, hinges and legs monthly, and fix small faults early to avoid doors dropping or panels being damaged.

Daily cleaning

  • Wipe doors, panels and hardware with a neutral detergent.
  • Mop under the floor gap; dry the feet of MFC cubicles.
  • Remove marker graffiti with a laminate-safe cleaner as soon as it appears.

Monthly checks

  • Locks engage and release, including the emergency release.
  • Doors close fully and do not drop.
  • Legs are tight and level.
  • Headrail fixings are secure.

When to repair or replace

Replace swollen MFC doors with compact laminate. Replace a whole run when several components are failing or the layout no longer meets your needs.
