MFC toilet cubicles
MFC toilet cubicles use 18mm melamine faced chipboard with sealed edges. They are the lowest-cost commercial cubicle and work well in dry, lightly used washrooms such as small offices, warehouses and staff areas, provided the floor is not regularly wet-mopped.

When MFC makes sense
MFC is a sensible choice where budget matters most and the washroom stays dry. In wet areas, or where cubicles are hosed or heavily mopped, the chipboard core can swell if water gets past the edging, so we will steer you to compact laminate instead.
Moisture-resistant options
We can upgrade to moisture-resistant MFC with ABS edging and a raised floor gap, which improves lifespan in standard office washrooms without the price of solid grade boards.
Finishes
Plain colours and woodgrains are available with aluminium or chrome-effect hardware, aluminium feet and a headrail.

How long do MFC cubicles last?
In a dry staff washroom, well-installed MFC cubicles commonly last many years. In wet or high-traffic washrooms their life is much shorter, which is why we compare whole-life cost with compact laminate at survey.
Can MFC cubicles be used in showers?
No. MFC is not suitable for showers, changing rooms or any wet area. Use compact laminate there.
