Full-height and Approved Document T
Since 1 October 2024, Approved Document T in England has set out how toilet accommodation in new non-domestic buildings and material changes of use should be provided: single-sex toilets for men and women, or fully enclosed universal toilets where space does not allow. A universal toilet is a fully enclosed room with its own WC, washbasin and hand drying. Full-height cubicle systems with a basin inside are one of the most efficient ways to build them.
Factories and distribution sites around Gwent need enough toilets, showers and lockers for every shift; we size provision to the Workplace Regulations and fit robust cubicles.
Many Gwent enquiries come from offices refreshing tired washrooms between leases; we strip out, re-plan for current guidance and fit new cubicles, IPS and vanities.
